Pablo Diaz

I'm a Solutions Architect and technologist who likes to write, and I've been doing some combination of those things for over 20 years. My parents still think I fix computers and, in a way, they are right (but the computers must be the size of a fridge).

Since I was a kid, technology came naturally to me. I wanted to understand every piece of hardware inside a PC and break it apart, and that curiosity has never left. I started by running my own Linux servers and somehow ended up getting paid to manage much bigger ones, and later massive Unix environments at big companies. It's a blessing to know what you love to do and feel like you are never really working.

Over the years I've worked across infrastructure, cloud, DevOps and distributed systems. Most of my career has been spent somewhere between architecture and a terminal, building platforms, automating things and helping companies make better use of technology.

These days I'm heavily invested in AI infrastructure, developer tooling and workflows, and in the way AI is changing how software is built.

I also like to write and teach. For me, understanding something properly usually ends with trying to explain it to someone else in simple terms.

I'm the father of three beautiful daughters, and married to the love of my life and a much better half. We have lived in Valencia, Spain since 2024, after spending years travelling around the world. I'm Argentinean by birth, Italian by blood (Nonna, I miss you!), and New Zealander by choice.
